Spoetzl Brewery out of Shiner Texas. Shiner Bock. It dawned on me that I have been drinking Shiner for years and haven’t done a review on it. So here it goes. I really like the taste of Shiner Bock. It has a nice light and refreshing taste. It has a medium malty taste and a slightly smokey flavor. It pairs well with any type of BBQ or on its own. It is one of the popular Texas beers. Spoetzl was founded in 1909, and is the oldest independent brewery in Texas. Rated 4.85 out of 5-D
