No Label Brewing company out of Katy Texas. Don Jalapeno Ale. This was a great tasting ale. I could smell the jalapenos as soon as I lifted the glass to my mouth. This was the first jalapeno flavored beer I had ever tasted. It was great. This beer is brewed with 60lbs of jalapeƱos – 30 lbs raw and 30lbs roasted (seeds included). It had a good smokey jalapeno flavor that wasn’t over the top but had a nice heat to it. It is orange in color and had a slight head to it. It had a good amount of malts and hops. This ale would go great with Mexican food or BBQ. Rated 4.35 out of 5-D

Revolver Brewing from Granbury, TX. Blood and Honey Ale. Revolver is a Texas family owned business. This Wheat ale tasted good. The first thing I noticed is that I could smell a hint of honey even before drinking it. It had a cloudy unfiltered amber color to it. A good malted barley taste and a blood orange taste at the end. Revolver uses local ingredients. Like Creek Farms Honey and other spices. They use fresh water from the Trinity Aquifer well. Over all a good beer that I will try again. Rated 3.5 out of 5-D

Pecan Lodge out of Dallas, Texas. They were one of the caterers at the Untapped Beer Festival in Fort Worth. We were lucky enough to get our hands on their chopped beef brisket sandwich before they ran out. It was amazing! “The best brisket I have ever had” (Admin D). It had a great pepper taste to the rub and great smoke ring and flavor. The beef had an amazing flavor profile with an interesting Southwestern type rub. The rub did nothing but accentuate the delicious, moist brisket. No wonder this rather “new” BBQ joint had already won various awards. We can’t wait to head to their location at the Dallas Farmer’s Market and have more tastings! We have heard that there’s always a line of 100+, but we are ready to take that on to get our hands on some delicious grub! Let us know what you thought if you have tried it! We both gave it a 5 out of 5.

Blue Bell Ice Cream from Brenham Texas. The Rocky Mountain Road ice cream was very good. Rocky Mountain Road is made with rich Dutch chocolate ice cream. Mixed in are dark chocolate-coated peanuts, milk chocolate-coated pecans, white chocolate-coated almonds, and roasted walnuts. Then a marshmallow sauce swirled throughout the ice cream. Every spoonful had all these great tasting ingredients. This ice cream flavor was first introduced only in Colorado to commemorate Blue Bell company’s entry into Colorado and named after the Rocky Mountain’s scenery, But now can be found here in Texas! Another great tasting ice cream from Blue Bell. If you like rocky road ice cream definitely give this one a try. Rated 4.85 out of 5.-D
Rocky Mountain Road Ice Cream from Blue Bell. This super creamy ice cream was chock full of peanuts, pecans, almonds, and roasted pecans. Like D said earlier, each one was coated in different kinds of chocolate. Each spoonful had an average of 3 nuts. Among with the nuts, there is also a plentiful amount of marshmallow swirl in the creamy chocolate ice cream. Just the right amount of all the ingredients. I love this ice cream. Each component adds and compliments the flavor of this ice cream. Let us know if you tried Rocky Mountain Road and let us know what you think! Rated 4.75 outta 5. -A

Saint Arnold Brewing Company out of Houston Texas. This Amber Ale was very good. It had a nice full flavored body and had a slight caramel after taste derived from a specialty Caravienne malt added. This Ale was very refreshing and had a citrus smell from the hops(from the Pacific Northwest). It had a nice creamy head to it. This Ale had won numerous awards including a bronze medal in the Great American Beer Festival, Bitter, 2005. Its Alcohol by volume is 5.5%. This Amber Ale was Saint Arnold's first official brew of the company and its flagship product. Rated 4.8 out of 5-D
